YardTalk Family Texts: SMS Terms
Program
Think Big Technology LLC relays text messages from a person in U.S. federal custody to family members and friends who agree to receive them, and relays their replies back. Every relayed text names the sender.
How you opt in
When a person in custody asks to text your number, we send you one request. Nothing else is sent unless you reply YES. You can also opt in on our opt-in page. You must be 18 or older, and you must not opt in if a court order bars contact with that person.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies, depending on how often the person in custody writes. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out
Reply STOP (or BLOCK) to stop texts from that person; reply START to resume them. Reply BLOCKALL to stop texts from everyone through YardTalk; to undo that, contact us. Opt-outs take effect immediately. Victims and witnesses can block their number in advance on our block page.
Help
Reply HELP for help, or email support@yardtalk.ai, or by mail at 32 Heckel St, Belleville, NJ 07109.
Monitoring
Prison staff can read and keep these messages. They are not private.
